Dr. Bushra Zaidi is passionate about treating cancers in pets, including lymphoma, mast cell tumors, hemangiosarcoma, transitional cell carcinoma, and osteosarcoma. She is excited about using emerging treatment options in pets such as immunotherapy to treat certain cancers such as mast cell tumors and melanoma. Dr. Zaidi enjoys treating cancer in pets because in cases where the cancer is not curable, cancer treatment can help alleviate pain and suffering, and prolong survival while maintaining the pet’s quality of life at home. Dr. Zaidi closely works with her patient's owners to determine the best treatment; whether that includes surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or immunotherapy. Some patients may require a single form of therapy, while others may need combination therapy. Dr. Zaidi’s Oncology service will perform regular scans, which may include radiographs, ultrasound, and/or CT scans.
She shares her home with her husband and 3 cats, Akoya, Zephyr, and Calix. In her spare time, she loves traveling to new places, biking, hiking, and cooking with her husband.
