Hours

Pet Emergency and Referral Center is open 24 hours, every single day of the year for emergency and surgical care. You can ALWAYS call or come in to reach a staff member who can help in the case of an emergency or guide your next step in regard to specialty care. Some of our specialty services may not be available at all times such as neurology, cardiology, and elective surgery, but you can always call to set up an appointment or ask questions and we will be more than happy to help guide you.

Payment Options

We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.   Payment is due at the time of service and a deposit is required for patients being hospitalized and/or having surgery. Personal checks can be used but must be approved through TeleCheck prior to acceptance, which is done in our office. Unfortunately, we have tried to provide billing and payment plans numerous times in the past and have found this to be a non-viable way for us to conduct business, therefore we do not offer credit through billing or payment plans. We do accept CareCredit and Scratchpay to help with payments.

Veterinary Surgery

Dr. Hanson, Dr. Fiore, and the surgical team hold appointments at Pet Emergency & Referral Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until noon at which point the surgical team begins surgeries in the afternoon. Appointments in the afternoon can be arranged but may require flexibility regarding wait times or dropping off a patient since these are surgery hours. The surgical examination and consultation fee, along with any further diagnostics or treatment will be presented as an estimate for your approval. Consultation with Dr. Hanson or Dr. Fiore does not obligate your pet to have surgery and all diagnostics and treatment options will be discussed in detail prior to any surgical procedure being decided upon.

Patients hospitalized and recovering from surgery are cared for around the clock even if Dr. Hanson or Dr. Fiore are not in the hospital. Our Emergency department holds medical rounds with our surgeons and alerts them to any significant changes.

Hours: Monday through Friday

Appointments: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Surgery hours in afternoon and into evening.

Dr. Lechner and her team are dedicated to providing compassionate and detailed care for complex and chronic illnesses for cats and dogs. Our Internal Medicine service is available by appointment Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Hospitalized patients and internal medicine patients in emergency situations are cared for after hours by our emergency team with supervision and orders from Dr. Lechner and the internal medicine service.
