Aileen Martínez

Aileen Martínez was born and raised in Miami, Florida, but has lived in many places including New York, Indiana, California and Washington state.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University - Go Noles!

She received a Master’s Degree in Public Health, focused on environmental epidemiology at Florida A&M University. She went on to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in California.

After graduating veterinary school, Dr. Martínez moved back to the sunshine state to complete an accelerated internship in emergency and critical care. She took a short break from emergency medicine and practiced preventative care at a general practice for a few years. Missing her true passion of emergency medicine, Dr. Martínez has joined PERC as an emergency veterinarian. Her main interests are in abdominal ultrasounds, soft tissue surgeries, trauma cases, GDVs and hemoabdomens.

When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her husband, friends, and family, including her pet corgis and cats. She is an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys fishing, boating, traveling, kayaking, swimming, biking, and running. She completed her first full marathon run in February 2022 and enjoys a fast paced environment both inside and outside the hospital. Dr. Martínez loves all animals, but is particularly fond of Pembroke Welsh Corgis; she would be content to live on a sailboat with a trillion corgis.
