Our veterinarians are experienced in emergency medicine and surgery. They work with well trained veterinary technicians to provide continuous monitoring and treatment of patients. The clinic is well equipped to provide full rapid diagnostic laboratory testing, x-rays, oxygen therapy, intravenous fluid therapy, blood transfusions and emergency anesthesia and surgical procedures.
Any pet owner is welcome to use Pet Emergency & Referral Center for emergencies. We will also provide prompt treatment for injuries or illnesses that may not be life threatening, but are painful to the pet or of a concern to the owner.
In addition, the clinic will accept transfer from your family veterinarian of pets in need of critical care and monitoring. Our aim is to work in cooperation with your family veterinarian to provide the best possible care for your pet. Pet Emergency & Referral Center is NOT a substitute for the family veterinarian, but an extension of their medical and surgical services. NO routine procedures such as spaying, neutering, vaccinations, boarding or grooming are performed at Pet Emergency & Referral Center.

- Remain calm. Assess the situation.
- Remove the animal from any chance of further harm. BE CAREFUL - even a loving pet may bite and scratch when in pain.
- Dial the Pet Emergency clinic at 691-9999. Explain the problem to the emergency center technician. Calling before you bring your pet in for treatment will give the staff time to prepare for your individual situation and requirements, and also enable us to give you instructions for transport.
- When you arrive at the clinic, we will examine and treat your pet as promptly as possible. Life threatening emergency case will be treated first, regardless of order of arrival. Unfortunately, this may interrupt an examination in progress or cause a less critical patient to wait. Please be assured that our staff will work as quickly as possible to attend to all patients.
